For this project I wanted to create some more character designs for a client I was working with the last project. She asked me to design the character Gain. ​

Gain is a fae who can shape shift but doesn't have full control of their powers.

The inspiration for this drawing was actually portions of the story sent to me by the author.

For the original form of this character the author gave me creative control over the style and design over the character other than "genderless green form" 

I was also told by the author about Gains mothers, one if a business woman and the other wears bright colours and is very bubbly so I decided to incorporate that into Gains outfit.

I was struggling with how to make Gain look androgynous and then decided to mix feminine facial features with sharp masculine bone structure.

I decided to try a new software for this project as I saw my classmate using ProCreate and decided to experiment and expand my skills.

Im very happy with the way this came out and the design of the character is one of my favourites so far. 

I felt a connection with this character as not only did I get free reign on the look but the character is also non binary and I fell in love with this characters personality.
